We have set up a music workshop series in order to present our work to a broad audience or to curious musicians who wish to deepen their knowledge of interpretation. Absolutely all types of instruments are welcome. These workshops reflect our continuous and thorough preparation towards performances. This initiative brings together our team's expertise and its various personalities along with first-class means (instruments, outstanding acoustics and audiovisual equipment). The workshops are a representative showcase of our projects and make thrilling exchanges around our fundamental quest possible.
The coaching team is composed of :
Michel Kiener, harpsichordist, pianoforte player, pianist, faculty at the Geneva Conservatory - HEM de Genève
artistic director of
Amarcordes
Jean-Daniel Noir, artistic coach, sound engineer
Luc Breton, luthier and bow maker, musicologist and chemist, a man of Tradition
Nicolas Penel, violonist
Laurent Galliano, violist
Mathieu Rouquié, cellist
Flavio Losco, violonist
Lorenzo Ghirlanda, trombonist and sackbut player
The coaches may take turns to run the workshops.
Inaugurated in September 2009, le Moulin-en-Clarens is a new space dedicated to the Arts. Both a concert hall and a showroom for graphic or sculptural works, it is equipped with a stage that can fit up to a chamber orchestra. Its strikingly sharp and yet open acoustics are considerably valuable for music practice, which makes the Moulin the perfect setting for practice on projecting the musical discourse, whether it is meant to be delivered with intimacy or more powerfully. The Moulin-en-Clarens has been hosting the workshops ever since they started.
